With designer Ton Van Munsteren’s P-51D being a great flyer (originally featured in RCM&E, June 2013 – https://www.sarikhobbies.com/product/rc2118-p-51d-mustang-plan/) and having always been a big fan of the razorback version, it was easy to select the P-51B as his next warbird project and when a clubmate asked him to design and build a P-51B for him, he accepted the challenge and started the design. The wingspan is the same as the P-51D because he likes using 3S 2200mAh LiPos and the easy handling models of this size. It’s easy to hand launch and with a small push, the P-51B will fly away very nicely using not too much power. What’s in a Laser or CNC Cut Wood Pack? – A CNC or laser-cut wood pack contains most, if not all, of the intricately shaped parts shown on the plan, which would be difficult or time-consuming to cut out by hand. It does not contain any sheet or strip wood, which you will need to buy separately. Alternatively, you can purchase an Additional Wood Pack, if available. Our Laser or CNC Cut Wood Packs only contain balsa, ply and lite ply and do not include other materials that may be required to complete the model, such as hardwoods, metals and GRP sheets.
