Wild & Stone’s hand towels are the perfect addition to any home; they’re highly absorbent, making them perfect for drying plates, but also really soft and kind to skin so ideal for drying hands too. They measure 65cm x 40cm, are made from pure organic cotton and certified to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100, meaning the dyes used are free from harmful substances. Once they’ve served their purpose and you’re done with all the uses they can be put to (in the shoe-polish box or garden shed), these eco-friendly hand towels can be cut into strips and placed into the recycling bin, it will then fully biodegrade! Most hand towels are made out of microfibres, which are a kind of plastic. Every time you wash a synthetic fabric, millions of microfibres are released into the water; these fibres are too small to be filtered out by waste treatment plants, so they end up in our waterways and oceans, where they wreak havoc on marine animal health and our environment. Cotton hand towels are more eco-friendly than microfibre towels as they are biodegradable and naturally antimicrobial. They are just like a usual kitchen towel but without any microplastics. Care Instructions: Machine wash at 60°C; if they have a smell, soak them in warm water with vinegar before you wash them; Can be tumble dried; We do not recommend using fabric softener as it reduces the towels drying abilities.
