An Apprentice Bowl is traditionally a very special piece, as at the end of his/her apprenticeship each apprentice had to produce one of these bowls and show it to his Master for inspection, as it required most of the skills learned during an apprenticeship to produce one of these by hand, including marking, cutting, circling, hand hammering or planishing, soldering, buffing, dollying, polishing & sometimes engraving to complete one.  If the Master was happy with the finished bowl then the apprenticeship was complete – an important milestone in every young career. Now you have the opportunity to own one of these special bowls to special order in 925 Sterling Silver.  It can be plain, or engraved with a personal message.
