Description How delightful is this neon rainbow wool for spinning and felting? Dyed in UV-reactive shades of fuchsia pink, yellow, purple, orange and blue. this is one wool top that won’t go unnoticed. This is part of my best-selling Rainbow Connection series. This BFL fibre is non-superwash, meaning it will felt under the right conditions (friction and heat, or felting needles). It will also remain soft and lovely if handled properly and will spin up into a lovely yarn. Whatever your crafting plans, this in-your-face fibre is here for the adventure. Each Rainbow Connection braid is different due to the dye technique, so you won’t be getting the exact same colour positioning as you see in the listing photos. There are 100g for you to enjoy and have fun with, so go ahead and make something lovely!Would you like this colourway in another wool top? Message me to discuss options. * The last photo is of a hand spun yarn I created with this colourway and is intended as inspiration only, it’s not included in this listing. * Wool top or roving? If you didn’t know already there is a difference between combed wool top and roving. Both expressions are often used to represent the same item, but they pertain to two different types of fibre preparation. In fact, I am inserting this explanation here so I can use the expression “wool roving” correctly and still please the search algorithm gods. Sneaky.Combed wool top such as this are processed in the mill to remove the short fibre staples, and all the longer remaining fibres have been combed to face the same direction.Wool roving, on the other hand, still retains some shorter fibres and not all face the same direction, so it will have a fuzzier appearance.Want more details? Read this blog post on how wool roving and wool top differ. Colour Disclaimer Colour are showing true on my end but please take different monitor settings into consideration when ordering. Thank you.
